At BAR, we believe your body was made to move and move well. We are a community-focused fitness facility located in the Redlands, specializing in calisthenics and bodyweight training for adults and children of all skill levels.

Our experienced coaches have a deep love for movement, strength, and injury-free training, BAR is built to help everyday people feel strong, capable, and confident in their bodies. Every class is packed with energy, creativity, and fun but underneath it all is a foundation of smart, science-based programming. With a focus on long-term strength, mobility, and resilience, our approach is intentional, informed, and designed to help you move well and feel great for life.​

Behind every fun, high-energy class is a foundation of science and intention, designed to help you unlock strength, move with power, and create a body that supports every dream you chase.

Adults Calisthenics

These classes are the heart of BAR. Designed for all fitness levels, our adult sessions combine calisthenics strength training, hand balancing drills, bodyweight movement, and flexibility work. You’ll build muscle, improve mobility, and learn new skills in a supportive, high-energy environment. Expect to challenge yourself safely and smartly and leave each class feeling stronger, more capable, and more connected to your body.

Personal Training

Get personalized guidance with our one-on-one or small group sessions, tailored to your goals, experience level, and preferences. Whether you're preparing for a specific skill, working through an injury, or simply prefer more individualized attention, private coaching is a powerful way to fast-track your progress.

Warriors / Kids 

​Warrior classes are all about movement, fun, and confidence. Using calisthenics-inspired exercises, games, and creative challenges, we help children build coordination, strength, and body awareness in a safe and inclusive space. Whether it’s learning to cartwheel, climb, balance, or hang upside-down your child will be supported.

School Holidays

Our school holiday programs are designed to keep kids moving, learning, and having a blast during the break. Expect obstacle courses, skills circuits, aerial fun, games, and themed adventures. We also run specialty workshops throughout the year for adults and kids alike—covering handstands, mobility, skill progressions, and more.

Lyra
 

Lyra (Aerial Hoop) Classes A unique and empowering aerial experience! Our lyra classes cater to both casual movers and competition-level students. You’ll build upper body and core strength, improve flexibility, and develop beautiful aerial flow while suspended from a hoop! No experience needed just curiosity, courage, and a willingness to try something new.

Special events

Looking for a unique and unforgettable way to celebrate? At BAR, we host birthdays and special events that are packed with movement, laughter, and adventure. Whether it’s kids climbing, swinging, and flipping through obstacle courses, or adults trying something new with calisthenics or aerials, we create a fun, active experience everyone will love. Customizable to suit all ages and group sizes, our events are designed to build connection, confidence, and lasting memories.

Meet Donna & Joe

Our Story


Donna and Joe are a husband-and-wife team, parents to two amazing kids (Aurora and Orion), and the proud owners of BAR, a community-focused gym where fitness feels like home: fun, challenging, empowering, and deeply connected.

BAR officially became theirs in 2024, just weeks after welcoming their baby boy into the world. Donna had previously spent two years as a partner in the business before she and Joe took full ownership. Together, they are building a space where movement meets meaning and where people of all ages and skill levels feel inspired to move.

 

Our Background


Joe discovered calisthenics in 2019 and has been passionate about gravity-defying movement ever since. After training under top coaches, he completed his certification in 2024. His training style blends strength, mobility, and fluid movement to keep the body feeling good and pain-free. With a background in social work, Joe brings warmth, community spirit, and playful energy that makes everyone feel welcome and supported — while still offering the technical depth and precision advanced athletes need to push their limits.

Donna brings over 10 years of experience in fitness, specializing in personal training, aerials, and calisthenics for both kids and adults. She has worked with children across more than 30 childcare centers in the Redlands, infusing her classes with creativity, joy, and a genuine passion for movement. Her specialty lies in making fitness fun and accessible from themed workouts to playful warm-ups while also focusing on injury prevention and sustainable strength. After exploring countless training styles, it was calisthenics that truly transformed her body and mind, healing long-term injuries and creating a deep sense of connection between movement and well-being.

 

Our Mission


As Christians, their core values are rooted in love, community, and compassion. To them, fitness is about much more than building muscle it’s about rediscovering play, forming meaningful connections, and celebrating what the human body is capable of. They love seeing families train together, adults playing on monkey bars, and handstands happening in the park.

 

At the heart of it all, Donna and Joe believe movement is a gift a way to build strength, find joy, and connect more deeply to yourself and others.
